Lovely cosy flat with fantastic sea views and awesome location. Positive: The seaviews were amazing. Me and my eight year old daughter absolutely loved the flat. We spent hours looking at the sea views. The location of the flat is amazing, a very short walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the local Co-Op supermarket. The host Karrie, is very lovely, she sent us all the information we needed to get the key and gain access to the flat. The flat it's self is very quiet despite overlooking the main road. The facilities provided are as you expect, toaster, kettle, cooker, pots and pans, electric power shower, there's even a dishwasher and a washing machine, which is a bonus in it's self!! TV is there with internet, so if the weather is bad there is plenty on offer on the TV for entertainment. If you are looking for a base to stay then book it, the price wasn't a deal breaker, specially for the location and time of the year which was the summer holiday. Negative: I'd say the lack of hot running water for washing up dishes or washing your hands was a minus, I'm sure that there was probably a way to get the hot water activated, but I didn't want to fiddle around. The sofa bed provided is good but the mattress of the sofa bed felt like you were sleeping in a big dip, I reckon the mattress might need updating to a new one that's just a bit firm.

Excellent apartment with a magic view of the Solent Positive: Do not be deceived by the external appearance of this block of 1960s/70s apartments. The ugliest on Ryde's seafront. The view of the Solent from inside is incredible with 3 large windows looking across to the mainland. Ships of all shapes, sizes and speeds. Excellent TV and comfortable seating. Plenty of hot water. The large tilt and turn windows back and front allowed a good passage of air on a very hot week. Car parking in Ryde is a real problem. However, there is a space available off road for this property. Ryde centre is easy walking distance as is the pier and the train station and hovercraft base. The apartment is a bit rough around the edges, but everything works well. The security of the apartment is excellent. Would we stay again ..yes. Sort out the few minor things and would gladly book again. Negative: Sadly a few negatives. If you are not reasonably mobile the apartment is on the 5th floor. The cleaning needs some attention in places.e.g . top of the fridge covered in dust. The large main tilt and turn windows had to be cleaned.(By us) The safety catches on this style of window are inadequate and a person could easily fall out when full swung open. There is nowhere to hang coats and no towel rail in the bathroom. NO Tea pot!!! not everyone drinks coffee. Gentleman note the toilet seat does not stay up. The there is considerable road noise at night especially due to the heat with the windows open. WiFi (4G only?) was available but unable to connect. Informed the property contact but nothing happened to solve the problem. The cooker hood and the bathroom sink mirror light did not work. The apartment allocated parking space was just suitable for a VW golf...anything larger will have problem due to on street parking opposite.

Positive: Good communication and help when I needed it. Negative: Oven controls hard to read.
